this has major impact down river as once regular deposits of sediment no longer reaches the sea. Issues w/ lost shoreline over several decades leaves much of coastal areas damaged beyond repair. Also disastrous use of dredging sand bottoms for production of cement.

There is a movement in Yemen aided by Empire to refer to "Huthis" and their allies from Sanaa up to North as "Hashimites" and thus non native. This subtle ploy needs to always be corrected or it will become "truth" among Yemeni Studies mafia n their Media/academic enablers

Great find! Sustaining independence by way of maining autonomy of farming communities extended back to imamate period of 1920s.Yemenis were long suspicious of "advisors" from US/UN or private ngos,a struggle that remained at heart of struggle until 2015.

Please look further into this story. The mass majority of depleted uranium weapons were dropped inside Kosova, especially around Peja (Pec). The major coverup has been in the fact the Italian soldiers placed there started to get very sick and many of the families tried to sue.

This kind of politics, denying civilians water, is what empire does: see how Turkey denies Syria/Iraq H2O w/ their dams, how water sources are destroyed in Northern Yemen, now Egypt/Sudan fear similar use of H20 from Ethiopia, Mozambique vs. Zambia etc. Imperialism is a science.

Indeed, Sinopec (Chinese oil) had a major stake in assuring Yemeni's did not play favorites in distributing contracts; Chinese interests in Yemen extend to mines and off-shore fisheries. All part of the expected spoils for contributing to the war.
