Government optimization at work!
In honor of Public Service Recognition Week, I had the opportunity to tour the newest state building, 6200 Park Avenue! As part of our alignment efforts, we were able to consolidate 10 buildings, 12 floors, and 3 private leases into this space, saving taxpayers over $49M and

Hanging onto a building that would cost taxpayers $85M to keep and renovate doesn’t make any sense. Thanks to the Senate State Government Committee for passing my bill to get rid of the Wallace building. Iowa DOGE in action!
