I’m advocating to increase the Child Tax Credit for working parents so that families can keep as much of their paycheck as possible and have a little bit more breathing room.

Iowa Valley Grinnell offers the only Gunsmith Technology program in Iowa! The two-year program equips students with hands-on training to succeed as a gunsmith.
It was very cool to see this unique program & visit with students who are passionate about this trade!

I met with the team at Frontlines United to learn more about their efforts to support veterans, active-duty military, & first responders. They help facilitate reunions between service members to foster connections, provide peer support, & help those struggling with mental health.

Foundation 2 helps thousands of Iowans every year through their crisis services, youth support, and prevention education. I enjoyed learning more about their dedication to helping those in crisis and ways we can end the stigma around mental health.
