Saw a vid of a woman getting caught in a waterfall like this, rescued by other swimmers. Then the tragedy on Snowdon with two deaths in the pools on the mountain.
Even with a life jacket on, it is difficult to escape from the pool at the bottom of the waterfall, which has a drop of just one meter. This shows how dangerous the river can be. So what should be done in such a situation?

Great thread. I watched some of the parade, found it a bizarre & lacklustre spectacle . Disconcertingly the commentator wasn’t in sync with parade so was often still talking about the previous lot whilst the next group of troops were passing. Enjoyed the sponsor plugs #coinbase.
I just got back from the Trump parade and I have to say it was legitimately the worst executed mass attendance event I’ve ever seen . One overarching thought: how do you spend $80 million and fumble the basics?. Many more thoughts - . 🧵 🧵 🧵

Stood in the office & heard a crash , ran down the banking and assisted the driver out. Half a bottle of whisky was conspicuously in the road which I alerted police to when they arrived, just after the driver ran off. He was intercepted up the road. Intense before 9am
