👋 We fixed an issue that caused some people on iOS to have trouble accessing Instagram. The fix should now be in place for people with automatic iOS updates enabled. If you don’t, go to the App Store and update manually. TY for the patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

People can manage Location Services via their device settings, and tag locations on their posts if they want to share that information.

To be clear, we don’t share your location with others. Similar to other social media companies, we use precise location for things like location tags and maps features.

What's considered sensitive? We’ve developed Recommendation Guidelines which have been in place since 2019, that determine which posts and accounts are suitable to show up where people discover new content. You can learn more about how they work here:

‘More’ will give you the option to see *more* sensitive content if that’s what you prefer, ‘Standard’, will make sensitive content less likely to appear in your recommendations, and ‘Less’ will further reduce the chances of interacting with sensitive content.

Now, wherever you see content from people you don't follow – Explore, Reels, Suggested Accounts and Posts – the control will let you decide how much sensitive content you see. This will have no impact on the content you see on your Feed or Stories, from those you already follow.
