For my third Angels Free Agent Target, we are going to look at center-fielder, Harrison Bader. I want to preface, this is all just speculation on my part as a possible target for the Halos this offseason. The Angels have not been publicly linked to Bader as of this point.

Welp, nevermind, he cleared waivers and not a single team claimed him...interesting...
We can deduce a few things from the Yariel move: 1) 29 teams passed on claiming Rodriguez ($17M over next 3 years) 2) Blue Jays would have been OK to see him leave for no return 2) Jays prefer to have Rodriguez off the 40-man, freeing up valuable space for someone else

The Blue Jays have designated right-handed pitcher Yariel Rodriguez for assignment, per sources. He posted 1.4 WAR out of the bullpen in 2025 with 73.0 innings, 66 strikeouts, and a 3.08 ERA.

Even though Victor Mederos has used up all three of his option years, the Angels should be granted a fourth option year for him. This is because he has less than five full seasons (‘22, ‘23, ‘24 & ‘25) accrued ⬇️
@BeyondTheHalo Completely off topic from the article but what are the angels gonna do with Mederos? He's out of options and hasn't shown much in the minors or majors. I know they can just keep him in the pen but that feels like a waste of a spot

It seems noteworthy that two insiders have mentioned the Angels with Zac Gallen recently. Heyman on B/R the other day: “the Angels are gonna get a pitcher. I can see [Gallen] easily.” Feinsand yesterday: “I have heard Gallen's name connected to them a few times this offseason.”
