Well this was one of my dream list places to have my writing published in... when I wrote No Greater Love I was worried people wouldn't understand it because it's one of the darkest things I've ever written... 1/2
COMING IN ISSUE SEVEN: No Greater Love, by @InesGLabarta "Everyone needs to get this one thing about dogfighting... It’s all about love." Illustration by Morvern Graham. Design by @DesignsEsther Out May 25th. Pre-order here: https://t.co/Gn8keuAP7m

That's absolutely beautiful!! Thanks so much for sharing, now I can picture it perfectly 😍
Really enjoyed this segment. I had a lovely chat with @InesGLabarta and we talked about home and writing. Here’s a picture of my grandmother’s house. It’s the home in my heart. #amwriting #home #memories #atlanticcity

I love when writers take me to some of their favourite places... this episode is also nostalgic in the best ways possible!
This week's podcast is all about why Atlantic City is a meaningful place for @YBattleFelton

This was me all last week... I need exercise... but for the mind? (I'm possibly talking about meditation here, which I've been trying to for a while now but it's HARD 😂)
trying to remind myself that sometimes looking after my health means calming my mind down when it's bouncing around maniacally rather than going to the gym

There's definitely space in literature for 'hard stuff' and @nguyen_p_quemai talks beautifully about why stories like hers are important.
Another #podcast episode out! What to do if publishers reject you because they think you write about topics that are 'too heavy'? @nguyen_p_quemai is here with really powerful advice. https://t.co/wLaTZSj4gJ

Just me chatting about my favourite thing, rejections 😂 it stopped from sending work out for SO long. I think rejection was always a sort of major fear since I was little (I guess it may come with the artistic brain...?) Working on it tho 💪
'Rejection is a normal part of the writing process, so if you're getting rejections it means you're doing the right work' @InesGLabarta at our podcast today! https://t.co/OrcL8u0lmI

Ten Poems from the Coast edited by @MimDarling explores the variety of coastal landscapes – everything from limestone cliffs to muddy estuaries and sand dunes to saltmarshes. Everywhere there’s a sense that we go to the land’s edge to step away from the hustle of our daily lives.

Yup, so true...
@poetrywales @ZoeBrigley The writing life is approx 90% rejection, and most of the time it's not about you - its about fit, numbers, chance. Be honest with yourself & your work. If you still stand by your artistic choices after rejection, keep sending it out until it finds its place.

Really like this interview, mainly because when you start sending work out you don't know that it takes LONG to get an answer (and most of them are rejections). Hey, editing and publishing takes time...
New podcast episode out! The very prolific @charleyblogs talking about how she faced rejections as a first time writer 👇👇👇 https://t.co/9c4QGNfbaq

Just discovered @orangesjournal 😍 Love lots of stuff I've read in there but really enjoyed this non-fic piece https://t.co/I0ZupGWMgY Writers out there - do you have a meditation practice? Has it helped you creatively? I've only had mine for 1+ year but it has changed me!

Yup, totally agree, GOOD rejections can be so encouraging!!!! All the best luck 😀💪
My non-writer friends don’t understand… they’re like “aw, that sucks that they said no” and I’m like “AN EDITOR AT A BIG 4 SAID THEY WERE IMPRESSED BY MY WRITING” 🥳🥳🥳🥳😂 You gotta take the kind, personalized rejections as a win
