I got a tip-off during the OGL situation that WotC had warehouses full of overstocked product. Looks like all the campaign cases are selling at $20 on Amazon (down from I believe $50-60 on the original MSRP), and are going for as low as $3.00 in some stores.

There was 0 reason to have the D&D VTT demo today. They didn't actually have answers to the questions we had, and occupied a 2-hour time slot for it, so we took control of the conversation to press them on their ethics as a company. This was an error on WotC's part.

Hire capable, innovative creators to make a thing for you. Once it's created and you've secured ownership, fire the creators and hire less expensive people to maintain it instead.

WOTC has decided not to renew the contracts of the Avrae developers after a year of work.

It's hard to explain my perspective on this new D&D edition. This preview further cemented my thoughts on the IP: "paragraphs of soulless text to express a 'solve problem' button mechanic." No creative prompt, all solution. This game never needed *more*; it needed reduction.
Chris Perkins mentioned that, at the advice of UX consultants, the big table that explains class features by level has been moved to page 3 of that class’s section in the new PHB so as not to intimidate them.
