Twist locks are something we’ve used frequently in the past on smaller props/accessories including Xiao’s pot (Genshin Impact), and we’d been trialing them for a commission that needed to come apart to allow for electronics.

We’ve been working on a new prop-splitting system! 🤩 if you’ve been following us for a while you may remember last year we were experimenting with 3D printed screw threads to split apart props for storage and travel, but we ran into breakage issues.

At conventions we’ve had a large influx of attendees asking us not only how we finish our prints, but also for specific supplies we keep on hand. The latter also tends to be followed by the fact that a lot of current guides online recommend supplies we can’t get here in Australia
