This thread is for anyone who is potentially looking to come into the UK as an International Student. The Truth is not all Universities in the UK treat International Students well and my advise for anyone coming in is to actually boycott such places, It’s headache ko necesstry

It’s very interesting that when white folks fly out to work in Africa they are called “Expats” but when the UK went to actively recruit nurses in Africa to bring them to the UK they are still referred to as “immigrants” These words heavily contribute to racial bias and profiling.

Finally and I’m saying this with my full chest, Avoid London Universities, they are ridiculously overpriced they under deliver, the city itself is a ridiculously expensive city to live in, you are coming in as a student except if your Daddy is Dangote or Daddy Florence ko need

When Applying to Universities please do your due diligence, Ask questions, please don’t ask home students their experiences are usually and will be different from yours, Ask other international students, Check out their website and look at the ratio of International students

Dear Nigerian RNs/RMs. Please there are no IELTS Special centres, ❌❌don’t be scammed, If the Home Office finds out that your Exam result is false, you will lose your license, lose your Visa and your behind will land itself in Lagos. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 🙏🏽 🙌🏽

If you are a Registered Nurse, Opportunities are available for you work in the UK, Ireland, Australia and In Canada. At the moment the UK, Ireland and Australia seems like the easiest pathways. You can do this. YOU CAN. Stop making excuses for yourself. Get right on it #EndSARs

@Sikowitz17 Yeah if you break anything whilst inside the store they won’t charge for it… they are insured for any item that’s broken inside the store. They aren’t really losing in that sense of the word

Dear RN/RM, when you get that International Job offer, always get someone to proof read the contract for you before signing those dotted lines, You will be grateful for it. Don’t ever sign a contract without fully understanding what it really means! If you have questions ASK? ❤️

Dear Nigerian RN, Keep this 3 things in mind. 1️⃣ The UK and Irish pathways are the easiest options for you now 2️⃣Nigerians are still banned from accessing employment visas from the USA. 3️⃣ Any Agency who asks you to pay them to help you find work is ripping you off don’t do it.

Dear Nigerian, who is relatively new in the UK, please if your child is experiencing bullying at school… Speak up for them, have conversations with the school, you are your child’s biggest advocate, don’t wish it away, Don’t ignore it, their class can be changed. Please ACT!!!

If you are a NGN RN/RM and You have haven’t passed IELTS or CBT or but have a Valid License and won’t mind working as an HCA until you are able to get your stuff together! I would suggest you apply for that Health and Social Care Visa! Just my two cents… 💕

Hey newly migrated RNs/RMs on my TL Do you know that you can travel on holiday within Europe for less than £500, Please Naija is not an holiday destination.. Yes I said it with my chest lol and getting a Schengen visa Costs about £60 and it could take you to at least 26 countries

I went to a Sierra Leon Engagement party today!! I ended up tying everybody’s Gele like the Ibadan girl that I am …. They said Ife is Nigerian she definitely knows how to tie lol. After tying for about 10 people Omo my arms are sore… but everyone looks happy so I’m happy 😂😂😂

Dear Final year Nigerian Student RN who is planning on relocating, a few tips. 1️⃣Have a 4- year plan 2️⃣You need at least a year’s worth of post clinical experience. 3️⃣Working in a specialty gives you an edge. IE. Peri-operative nursing, ICU, A&E or in a Surgical placement. RT

The United Kingdom is made up of 4 Countries. England, Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland. Republic of Ireland (ROI) is a totally different country that has a different pathway for healthcare professionals. If you are on the UK Pathway, please don’t go applying for jobs in ROI

One of the best places to learn ECG readings is either in A&E, Cardiac ward, or CCU! There are different algorithms for different types of Cardiac Arrest situations.... Try and familiarise yourself with these different algorithms it really helps in very dire situations 🎀

I recently, had an antibody Covid test and it came back +ve, having worked as a frontliner, since the pandemic started I am not so surprised. I was asymptomatic didn’t feel a thing!please wear your masks, you are protecting yourselves from vulnerable folks. #fillingmygratitudeJar
