*deep breath* The past year & a bit have been the most challenging of my life. So, if you want/can help me try & bring Ice Cream Dice back home to this amazing community, I'd greatly appreciate it. https://t.co/rhr2wWrTXX

Screens taking a sunbath! The coating on the screens is photosensitive; the missing parts (where the ink will go through) were blocked from light then washed away with water. A good dose of sunlight cures/hardens the stencil for over 1000 prints! We're a high tech operation π€ͺ

What a beautiful, emotional, gut punch No Dress Rehearsal is. I have very few music related regrets. Not seeing, or even really 'getting', The Tragically Hip until it was too late, is one of them. This bass line, in my opinion, is one of the best. Ever. https://t.co/2o2TQQMQu6

right now, that looks like doing dishes because our dishwasher is leaking and we can't figure out how to fix it, and don't have the money to hire someone. I guess he's my housework body double, hahahaha. 3/3

about an hour before his bedtime, he completely unravels and is just a hilarious dancing, blathering, beautiful ball of chaos. Side effects: when he's cleaning, *I* feel much more motivated to contribute to the upkeep of the house as well... 2/3

#ADHD post. Lil Scoop started medication this weekend and the changes are profound, and slightly comical. He hyper focuses on... Cleaning. He is our house's 'custodian'. He's always enjoyed cleaning, but the meds have ratcheted that right up. After they wear off... 1/3

a game of rush hour. Nobody sticks to a station, lots of crossovers, just inefficient in general and it's because nobody knows any better. The team is good, they just need to learn the stations and how to stay at them. 6/6

And that's what I've wanted from the get go. Hopefully, I can position myself to do that training and build their confidence and create a team that works well together. A good team on the line looks like they're dancing. Right now, ours looks more like a for year old playing 5/6

I lead by example. It's all I know how to do. I get shit done, I take care of my people and we sink or swim together. Was it perfect? Fuck no. Some people had to wait an hour for their food. That sucks. However, this should prove to management that we need training. 4/6

Told them unequivocally that I deserve more pay, respect and an official title of my choosing. To be seen, appreciated and recognized for what I bring, even without the experience or paperwork to back it up, felt really good. Now to see how it all shakes out. 3/6

Thursday & Friday night were two of the busiest nights the kitchen has seen. I am the last experienced, by far, of our line cooks. Evening cook didn't come in (expected but not communicated). Worked 20.5 hrs these two nights. Crushed it with brave dishwashers who jumped... 1/6

Have a late shift today, so I'm taking little man out for lunch before I go to work. I haven't worked 8 hr shifts in over a decade, even as a full time EA, it was closer to 6. I miss my kid a lot. It's nice bringing in the bucks, but I miss putting him to bed & cooking dinner.
