We are devastated to say that at 6:00 this morning, the Chicago Rockford International Airport proceeded with their destruction of Bell Bowl Prairie. We are so grateful for all the love and support she has received over the last two years. I'm so sorry.

Wonderful to hear presentations on #LCCMR proposals today, including an interesting one from @IanLane3 from the @UMNBeeLab_Squad about rare pollen bees to help inform conservation strategies.šŸ @mnenrtf #mnleg

This article may help us contexualize Wilson's legacy and lasting influence on scientific racism. @stacyfarina spent months scrutinizing the Library of Congress archive that contains Wilson's correspondences with white supremacists. @mclemoremr @sciam https://t.co/XGg1bQBRxf

Hiding behind "academic freedom," E. O. Wilson actively propagated race pseudoscience in collusion with white supremacists.

I have been seen a lot of tree planting initiatives lately, so timing on this article is perfect https://t.co/ZMeNpyMyHH

Well I did a defense thing, and got a PhD or something. One upside of the pandemic is that more people were able to attend the digital defense, and it was recorded so I can share it too. https://t.co/BJC3oiXERg

China has the richest bumblebee diversity in the world, here is just a small portion of our 2020 collections. In contrast to their stunning coloration, their biology and threat status have yet to be studied.

Hi #plantlovers. We are looking for artists! Each Valentine’s Day/Plant Love Stories Bday we celebrate with #PlantHeartArt, plant-themed valentines, often with a planty pun. Are you an artist interested in doing an original, commissioned plant-themed valentine? (Examples here!)

Hi Y’all! My first publication from my PhD is out today: wild native mason bees (#Osmia) are not doing well while exotic mason bees are #thriving in the Mid-Atlantic US. Check it out here (open access): https://t.co/Pgm6tHChNW @uvaevsc @beecologist @usgsbiml @SciReports

Revisited the oak savanna restoration plots at the MSU MacCready reserve with one of my favorite people, Mitch Lettow. Cool to see how the thinning and burned plots have changed since 2013!

The #bison and the prairie benefit from each other, with the plants providing food for bison, and the bison’s grazing, trampling, and defecating helping keep the prairie ecosystem healthy. #NationalBisonMonth
