It was great to be a part of the #Geraldton Show Jumping earlier this month – the first official show jumping competition to be held in WA this year! Congratulations to all the organisers and participants! The beautiful weather was a bonus too!

Barb and I spent Saturday morning helping Friends of Geraldton Gardens - #FroggsInc and other volunteers to create a botanic garden in #Geraldton. We were all very pleased with the end result and I look forward to seeing this garden progress over the coming years.

I wanted to acknowledge the Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community Corporation to highlight their efforts in establishing the Yama(t)ji War Memorial here in #Geraldton. I do not know of any other aboriginal group in Aus that have built their own war memorial - an amazing achievement!

On behalf of The Nationals WA, I called for this in Parliament again today. All unspent funds on the Country Age Pension Fuel Card should be rolled over at the end of this financial year to support pensioners with inappropriately high fuel prices in the regions #RegionalMP

https://t.co/YmK45fho5G 👷It is unacceptable that the Labor Government have overlooked local contractors to work on key parts of the Geraldton Hospital redevelopment.

The Government has worked with energy companies to ensure households & small businesses that have been impacted by #COVID19 are protected. If you're experiencing financial hardship contact your energy provider to find out what options are available #auspol
If you're unable to pay your #energy bill on time, we have information on what steps to take and your rights as an energy consumer https://t.co/ChXLoTv88H

Terrific to officially launch the Regional Australia Council 2031 #RAC2031 @RegionalAus. The Council is made up of 10 of the nation’s biggest corporate organisations which will work to encourage more people to move out of the cities & live, work & invest in #RegionalAustralia.

It's great to see the Barnett Government's NorthLink finished. It commenced in June 2016 and is the biggest road infrastructure project in WA's history at a cost of $1.02 billion. This will be great for Geraldton people going to Perth via the Brand Highway once restrictions end.

On 22nd April 1988, the Queen declared #Geraldton a City. A lot has changed in 32 years, but Queen Elizabeth II is still on the throne and Geraldton is still a great place to live, work and raise a family. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else

I've written to the Minister for Local Government asking him to consider providing regional Local Government’s with financial assistance so they can support their staff during this tough time https://t.co/4Q6eHfwDU7

Great to see @senbmckenzie celebrate #WorldFisheriesDay by marking her visit to the Geraldton Fishermen's Cooperative with @IanBlayney last month.
Happy #WorldFisheriesDay! Let’s all have some #AussieSeafood tonight and support the 41, 000 people in Australia employed in our seafood industries. It’s been great reading the industry’s #OurStories throughout the day and the #OurPledge tweets.

Today, on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, we pause to remember the end of the First World War – and over a century of service and sacrifice of two-million Australians. We will remember them. Lest We Forget

It's great that Geraldton has the necessary infrastructure to support such commercial operations. It will ensure the resource industry continues to grow and will deliver a boost to the local economy, securing hundreds of jobs if the site is secured 👏👏
