Unlike many center-right groups, we at @IPI have NOT abandoned our optimistic, Reaganite, pro-market, limited gov’t, constitutional, classical liberal, pro-innovation approach. We still love America more than Hungary. If you agree, join our happy band! https://t.co/ToZmpap6ub

Looking at State Department documents, it appears the department went from 57,340 total employees in 2007 to 72,895 in 2015 to 80,214 in 2024. So it grew by nearly 23,000 employees before the 'devastating' cut of 1,300.

Trump’s real genius was convincing his base that incompetence is strategy. If he fails, it’s 4D chess. If he lies, it’s bait. If he loses, it’s rigged. He built a worldview where nothing is his fault—and questioning him is betrayal.

This isn't "too clever by half." It's Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, which puts "Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises" in the same sentence, treats them identically under the law, and unequivocally hands the power over them to Congress. https://t.co/WFaGjL5XLo

“A tariff is a tax” is a two clever by half formulation that ignores the fact that a tariff is not tax. It’s a tariff.
