Svenska folkrörelser gör avtryck i Europa!

Alcohol industry strongly lobbying against evidence-based public health policy. Ireland’s groundbreaking alcohol legislation being closely watched globally. Glad Ireland is standing up for public health. @DonnellyStephen @FrankFeighan https://t.co/MQobkEOZzw

Alcohol industry #lobbyists had 270 meetings with the @EU_Commission during the last six years, whereas NGOs got only 14 meetings... A 95% - 5% imbalance 🤯 What happened with the Commission's promise that its meetings with lobbyists should be "balanced and representative"?🤔

Shocking new report from @Movendi_Int and @IOGT_EA on influence of big alcohol at EU level. Appalling that vested interests are still consulted on public health policy, especially with alcohol harms at record levels:

A strong report from @IOGTNTO mapping the scale of the reach of the alcohol industry with their vested interests in lobbying EU compared with public health advocates. Highlights efforts to thwart Ireland’s alcohol health warning legislation. https://t.co/Zer02Zo6rf
