A great afternoon on the 10.25in gauge Stapleford Min Rly for the IMechE’s annual Railway Challenge. Seven teams (incl from Poland and Germany) each build a loco which is carefully assessed. The team TfL loco leaves Stapleford Central with a route familiarisation trial train

The UK Government today published its #Hydrogen Strategy. Hydrogen could be particularly useful when electric alternatives to fossil fuels are not viable. In 2019, IMechE looked into the potential for hydrogen trains in the UK.
