Next month, we're hosting the Ford Wilson Race of Champions soap box derby. This event is for children and adults with different developmental, cognitive, and physical needs. The experience is free for participants and takes place at the Wilbur Shaw Memorial Soap Box Derby Hill.

James A. Allison | Hall of Fame.Allison was one of the four founders of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He succeeded Carl Fisher as Speedway president in June 1923. Beyond the track, he launched Prest-O-Lite carbide gas-fueled headlights and formed what became Allison Transmission.

Jim Rathmann | Hall of Fame. Jim Rathmann drove in 14 Indianapolis 500 races, finishing runner-up three times (1952, 1957, 1959) before triumphing in 1960. 1960 featured a sensational battle with Rodger Ward, as they swapped the lead 14 times.
