This is Sue, again. Karen (@AppleshedArt) & I want to thank you for all your support & tributes to Ian over the past month. Thanks also to all who came yesterday & to all who've donated to @pureinsight1628. We've been overwhelmed, in a good way, by your kindness & generosity. x

2. In lieu of floral tributes we would ask that donations are made to Pure Insight ( https://t.co/3byVpXWHth ) a charity providing services to young care experienced people which was close to Ian’s heart, via their Just Giving page . https://t.co/3WKg7qyKH7 Thank you, Sue & Karen

@IDickson258 @article_39 @SueDickson812 As a care experienced adult I felt reassurance that my experience would not be so easily repeated in today's system because there are social workers like you to ensure the children receive CARE, I am sure that because of you and your work many do so, thank you for being that hope

“Obviously what you’d want to give a child in care is a very stable loving experience where they are surrounded by love and warmth and all their practical and emotional needs are met.” Thank you @IDickson258 for an inspirational lifetime of work
@article_39 @SueDickson812 Star Log: How great that it is the wonderful Carolyne Willow who tells my story. My star log is growing to a close now & I am receiving palliative care to close the door gently. So many brilliant people still working in care settings alongside the cowboys. Know the difference

@IDickson258 @article_39 @SueDickson812 Ian, this is devastating news & I am so, so sorry to hear this. Your work for children in care & care leavers has been inspirational & life-changing for so many people who are affected by/ working in/ working to change the system. You’ve built a ladder to the stars for so many.❤️

@IDickson258 @article_39 @SueDickson812 Ian you have been a force for love and kindness in an often soulless system. I know you are surrounded by love now. You will leave an amazing legacy in your work but most of all in your wonderful family and those special grandchildren. I have learnt so much from you. Thank you.
