It is with sadness that we share with you the death of Robert Delmas. Robert was one of those great scientists that every young scientist would have liked to meet. Brilliant, he was one of the precursors of the study of ions in ice cores. (1/2).

Peter Neff, University of Minnesota, presents a 150-year 14CO record from Law Dome ice core to estimate changes in OH concentration in response to large changes in reactive trace gas emissions. The [OH] defines the atmospheric lifetime of reactive gas species in the atmosphere.
