#ACG2025 wrap-up 🌵🏜️ Grateful for 18 acceptances & 7 presentations reflecting collaboration, mentorship & purpose that involved 6-12 months of work, re-analysis & revisions. Some evolved into full manuscripts, others led to new questions, and a few paused due to limited scope.

Check out my latest publication! 🔥 • Appendectomy is associated with 68% lower odds of Ulcerative Colitis🧬 • But 16% higher odds of Crohn’s Disease🧬 • Women show the strongest shifts 👩‍⚕️ This adds to the emerging body of evidence that the appendix might modulate IBD odds.

🔹 Start biologics early for mod-severe CD—don’t wait for failure of other meds. 🔹 Anti-TNF, IL-23, & JAKi (TNF experienced pt) are effective options for induction. 🔹 🧪 Use fecal calprotectin & MRE to monitor disease activity non-invasively.
