Thank you Christopher Missick. He was at the Fallen Firefighters Monument bright and early this morning cleaning off the graffiti. It's greatly appreciated, that monument holds the names of our firefighters, our friends, who died in service to this city.
@VoteMissick
Thank you to all our firefighters last night. They did fine work caring for the injured and protecting property. So far only one minor injury reported, hopefully he heals quickly and fully.

We have a firefighter in the hospital, his son made the high school all star team. He couldn’t make it, his brothers and sisters made sure the stands were full.
Firefighters with the dog they just assisted animal control with rescuing from the river gorge. The wayward puppy got herself a little too deep into the gorge, but firefighters were able to get her back on solid ground.

Heartbreaking. We are so sorry for the family that will be missing kids at the table this Thanksgiving, but please also keep our firefighters in your thoughts. Calls like this are brutal on our firefighters that want nothing more than to help.

Condolences to our Brothers and Sisters in Buffalo. The firefighters of Local 282 are dealt another hard day after a year of hard days. All of us in Rochester are wishing peace and comfort to our friends in Buffalo
BREAKING: A 37-year-old Buffalo firefighter died battling a four-alarm structure fire throughout the day Wednesday on Main Street in Buffalo’s Theatre District, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said.
The city will not give firefighters presumptive Covid-19 exposure coverage but Mayor Warren can increase their exposure chances by not following “Stay at Home Orders."
This morning 3 of our firefighters finished their last shift. Capt Tony Gutilla, Lt. Joe Inzinna, and Lt. Larry Guyett. A fourth, Capt. John Tallie finished his career several nights ago. Between them they served for 151 years.

There's lots of women in the fire service, but it takes a special woman to be a union leader. Amy Ruffo, our union Secretary, fights for labor when she isn't fighting fire.

The 1970s series known as “EMERGENCY!”, not only helped to promote the paramedic profession to the general public, but it was also single-handedly responsible for the recruitment of countless men and women into the fire service.

Tonight a War on Terror Vet who served in Afghanistan stopped by Hudson Ave and left donuts and bagels for members of Truck 6, Engine 16, and Batt. 1, thanking them for working the Super Bowl. Our firefighters appreciate the gesture and thank the Vet and every service member

This all needs to be pretty much simultaneously, so we send a lot of resources and we can always send them back. When lives are at stake we always err on the side of over reacting and then dialing back.
