In this paper, we use an ensemble #remotesensing 🛰 mass balance model to estimate changes in groundwater storage at multiple scales in the CA Central Valley .H/t to coauthors @Richpauloo, @_SarfarazAlam_ and Twitterless Rosemary Knight and Forrest Melton.

Had a blast hosting @HydroGeoPhys from @WorkingTrees together with the newest member of the lab, PhD student Junior Burks, at @HarvardForest . We spent the day measuring trees using their amazing app that leverages phone lidar together with manual measurements to test the tech

We can’t manage what we don’t measure. In our new paper, we show that remote sensing data can be used to accurately measure changes in groundwater for small areas (think counties or big cities) on a near-real-time basis. See for more information. #water.
