This year I've been collaborating with others on the @Price_3OO celebrations to commemorate the tercentenary of Wales' greatest thinker, Richard Price. It's been a great year & to finish off I thought I'd share a🧵on his amazing life, captured in @BerrystraBe's portrait. 1/11

It seems that very few of those in power at our councils and at the Senedd have a disability, or a family member with one, and it shows. If they had, we'd have our pavements back overnight ✍️ Stephen Price

In March there was a vote in Parliament to make a paltry two weeks of paternity leave a statutory right for all new fathers. Rupert Lowe didn't bother to turn up to vote.

Giving birth is obviously an incredibly challenging experience for the mother - trust me, nobody is denying that. I do think though, that fathers should be shown more respect by the NHS during the whole process. No food provided, no basic bedding, nothing. The father is having

This man is a psychopath and would be in jail in any vaguely sane democracy. Instead he is a proudly fascist Minister in Israel’s government. And one of the most racist human beings there has ever been - and I grew up in apartheid South Africa. This is what the West is

Just five random picks from the Reform manifesto… - Reject the World Health Organisation. - Stop Universal Credit. - Scrap the Equality Act. - Change the definition of hate crime. - Lower Housing priority for disabled people. Lovely bunch of open minded folk aren’t they?

The TLDR here is that this Labour UK Govt will spend over 10 years a sum of money that is less that 10% of what the UK Labour Party used to claim Wales is owed from HS2 alone from Opposition. From proportionality to peanuts in the space of months. Doesn’t bode well for 2026.

If they’re just going back to 1970s anti-Welsh rhetoric, fuck em. Not a tactical voting emergency in the world would make me lend my vote to Labour if they’re just going to parrot the Conservatives. Not a surprise they’re doing a budget deal with them.
