Official feed for Hurricane Heritage. We operate BE505, the world’s only 2-seat Hurricane and R4118, the only airworthy Hurricane from the Battle of Britain.
We’re really fortunate to operate the world’s only 2-seat Hurricane, and getting to deliver the “experience of a lifetime” on every, single flight is an incredible privilege. Take a look at this short video of one of this years’ customers. 😁
Absolutely unbelievable video: Alain de Cadenet delivers a brilliant piece to camera.... and then Ray Hanna flies the lowest of low passes in MH434. Gets quite a reaction 🤣. An oldie, but if this doesn’t cheer you up on lockdown, nothing will 👍
Today marks the 88th anniversary of first flight of the Hawker Hurricane. In our view, the most important British fighter of WWII. Happy birthday Hurricane!
80 years ago today, the Battle of Britain began.
@HurricaneR4118
is the most complete surviving Hurricane from the battle and flew 49 sorties from

with 605 squadron. 8 decades on, we still owe huge gratitude to “The Few”.

BIG NEWS: Very excited to finally announce that the world’s only 2-seat Hurricane - BE505 - is joining the Hurricane Heritage fleet in 2022! We’ll be tweeting a lot more about this in the coming months, but more details can be found on our website:
We had the enormous privilege of flying 102-year-old Jeff Brereton in “Pegs” yesterday, with R4118 in formation. Jeff was a fitter on R4118 in the Battle of Britain, but didn’t get to see her from this angle until 83 years later. A very emotional experience!
The Hurricane Heritage team had the huge privilege of reuniting Jeff Brereton with R4118 at

today. Jeff was a fitter with 605 Sqn, based at Croydon in the summer of 1940 and actually worked on R4118 during the Battle of Britain. An incredible day.
A “pinch yourself” moment at

yesterday in formation with 3 Spitfires. Thank you to the superb team at ARCo for making this possible…. And the best bit is that I get to do it all again today 😊

83 years ago, R4118 was intercepting Messerschmitts in anger over Kent. This clip was en-route to Villaroche for the “Air Legend” airshow last Friday, but certainly gave a small sense of what the experience must have been like…

Going to be a beautiful weekend, so more videos to come. Here’s something we shot last weekend of BE505 along the north coast of the Isle of Wight heading towards The Needles. There’s something about a Hurricane with white cliffs in the background 😍
It’s an absolute privilege to be the custodian of this beautiful

On 6th November 1935, Flight Lt George Bulman took the prototype Hurricane aloft for the first time from Brooklands aerodrome. 87 years later, this beautiful aircraft is still gracing our skies, and we’re privileged to operate the world’s only 2-seater. Happy birthday Hurricane!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

Jeff Brereton was a fitter with 605 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. His first job was to patch bullet holes on R4118. Today he came back to see his Hurricane at
@WLACFlying
and signed the emergency exit panel. This has made my year 😁

The 15th September is Battle of Britain day, so it seems appropriate to post a video from the Battle of Britain balbo flypast

100-year old Jeff Brereton was a fitter with 605 Squadron at Croydon during the Battle of Britain, where he worked on R4118. He was considered lucky by the aircrew as his aircraft always returned unscathed. Here he is rubbing a bit of good luck back into R4118 81 years later
