We’ve worked hard to build a populist, people-first brand and ran a persuasion campaign that left no voter behind, including Republicans. Over 7000 Zeldin voters crossed over for us. If Dems want to reclaim the NYS ‘burbs, we need to stop talking exclusively amongst ourselves.

What happened in this district? It was Trump +3 and had to be super pro Zeldin. The Dem just doing way better with Orthodox voters couldn’t make up the full gap between the top of the ticket either so why was he so good?

The SAFE Banking Act, legislation that would create a federal safe harbor for financial institutions and insurers to serve state-legal #cannabis businesses, could get a vote in the Senate. Read more on the progress and challenges at: https://t.co/ZsvZeU6s3g #SAFEBANKINGACT

In the 50th state Senate district (Onondaga, Oswego counties) incumbent Dem @Mannionfor50 says his race is too close to call. He’s down several hundred votes to GOP challenger, Rebecca Shiroff.

Democrats had an excellent night in Monroe County and statewide in New York. I can't find a single pick up by the Republicans. Lee Zeldin underperformed, and absentee votes seem to have easily saved Joe Morelle, Jeremy Cooney and Jen Lunsford. This wave wasn't red.

We knew it was always going to be a battle in a deep-red district that every other Dem struggled in. BUT WE WON thanks to our thousands of bipartisan supporters. More to come tomorrow but, in the meantime, it continues to be a privilege serving OC in the NYS Senate.

With 60 of 123 precincts reporting in the open 17th Senate District, Democrat I Wen Chu has 4,155 votes and Republican Vito LaBella has 3,935 votes. This is one of the few seats @nysendems are hoping to pick up this year.

NY lost a great citizen & I lost a friend! Anthony “Tony” Garvey passed away. Tony led quite a life, a decorated Vietnam vet, police officer, superior labor leader @lbanypd, executive director of police pension plan, great family man & one of funniest people I ever met! RIP TONY
