So the report went from flexing hand/wrist to he got his foot stepped on within minutes? Doesn't smell right.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson left practice about 40 mins early with S&C coach Scott Elliott next to him and team doctors trailing. Jackson got knocked down making a throw. He stayed in for a few plays but appeared to be flexing his hand/wrist.

Jay Higgins has the best pure LB chops out of every Raven I've seen this preseason. Pressing the LOS, scraping, taking on blocks, gap integrity, positioning, instincts. He's really advanced for a rookie. @dennard13 Hope he makes it, might be our best Will right now.

Devontez' footwork in route running looks sooo much better and that's what's most exciting about his Preseason emergence. He could always stretch the field, track it and finish but now he's taking steps to become a starting caliber WR.

I understand that I opened myself up to a convo on Rush but that wasn't the main point of this post. I keep hearing the analysis that we need "LJ Jr" at backup. Same stuff was said last year. Those guys are given a chance to start.
There's almost no such thing as a backup QB who matches Lamar's skillset. Don't you want a backup who can move the ball with his arm? The guys who can throw the ball, make smart decisions AND are mobile are already starters.

Nice and relaxed, enjoying some solid Ravens preseason football. Thinking about the end of the roster. Then they show sideline shots of Lamar, Henry, Zay, Kyle, Stanley and the rest. Mood changes immediately.
