Get Carter is showing on the TV. Seen it before many times, but I’ll probably watch it again now. Bleak and brutal, but it also marks the end of the old, grimy working class world of postwar Britain.

@HowlingKOTH There was a philosopher in Greece called Diogenes who was called to destroy this social currency and he did it by being an irreverent asshole, a lot like an IRL shit poster. Saying the truth despite what’s popular is holy work. Continue it, grandbaby

Trump is the most photogenic leader we have. This image is a pure gem. It reminds me of Bruce Lee in the hall of mirrors in Enter the Dragon - right before he unleashes almighty fury.

There is something deeply Freudian with this scenario. The son yearns for the father’s attention, whilst the sister flaunts her father’s love and uses it to taunt the brother. RD Laing wrote of the destructive family dynamics such as this.

If you only read one book at the moment, make sure it is Camp of the Saints. It is so prescient, especially seeing how the destruction of the West stems ultimately from by those of us who think they know ‘better’ or want to be ‘kind’ and ‘tolerant’.
Just now reading Camp of the Saints. In the first chapter he mentions the horde plunging their hands directly into their slop instead of using tools to eat like a developed person. I can see why this book is so hard to find, it predicted everything 50 years ago.

@TheFarRightSide Raspail, Camus, Pierce, Ross, Bastiat... truth — genuine truth — echoes throughout history, far beyond its own age... truth is truth for all time, all circumstance, all ages. Truth, like blood, shall out: it cannot long be contained. (With only minimal apologies to R. Frost) 🫡
