I'm running a project called PLAY where we're transforming video game controllers into digital instruments and commissioning new pieces for them. Yesterday we got together for a brilliant experimentation day - look out for concerts later this year with @HouseBedlam!

For this lockdown version the decisions are mostly made in the studio during production. We love this version but can’t wait to bring to life again live sometime in the future. Thanks Amber! 2/2

Great mix featuring our recording of @amber_priestley’s “With wholesome hunger plenty”. When played live this piece is called “Abroad to beg you bacon”, but as the piece is about how the score is decoded and player discuss and make decisions, Amber renamed this version. 1/2

Terrible—Psappha have given me so many nourishing musical experiences over the last 25 years. They run a peerless series of opportunities for young composers & have been a vital force in Manchester & beyond. Defunding them is a bewildering error of judgement.

This gig includes new work by our flautist Kathryn Williams (pictured holding Soundbrenner wearable metronomes) made in collaboration with Ed Cooper—it's a beautiful meditative new work for alto flute, electric guitar & amplified heartbeats: 'Fourfold'. @kwilliflute @getcoopered
Our next gig is in London @iklectikartlab on 18 May where you'll get to hear what our Call for Collaborative Music Projects duos have made using technology from @Vochlea & @soundbrenner - plus a set from @heather_roche Info & tickets here: https://t.co/cp0zmdF8qa

Thank you Clare. We’re very proud of this collection. It was a lovely focus during lockdown, but we can’t wait to play more of it live and together next year!
Fundraising & Development Manager Clare has selected @HouseBedlam's 'Enclosure' as her stocking-filler pick - music by @larrygoves, @amber_priestley, @hhhhhennies, & @matthewsergeant performed remotely during lockdown by @tom_mckinney, @kwilliflute, Carl Raven, & Stephanie Tress
