AI use case #11 - Cybersecurity Finally, the opportunity for AI in cybersecurity cannot be overlooked. Monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and other security operations are often manual and time-intensive. AI can detect and respond faster to threats.

AI use case #9 - Waste reduction Recent supply chain issues put a spotlight on this, and companies such as IHG and Iberostar are using AI-powered tech to cut down on food waste. That's just one example. Through smarter scheduling and use of materials, we can cut more waste.

AI use case #5 - Workflow optimization AI can help hotel operators optimize workflows to save time. Housekeepers, for example, waste so much time knocking on doors to find out there’s somebody still in the room. Inefficiency creates burnout, and AI can help fix this.

AI use case #4 - Guest feedback Most hotels receive thousands of pieces of guest feedback each month. AI is a powerful tool for processing unstructured data like this to identify patterns and suggest actions for improvement.

AI use case #3 - Check-in process AI could enable a smart pre-arrival process to collect information in advance so check-in doesn't take any longer than we want it to.

AI use case #2 - Pre-arrival engagement I recently received this email before checking into one of my favorite hotels in Sonoma: The recommendations were good but generic. Imagine a world where all the recommendations were personalized to each guest.

AI use case #1 - Hotel bookings More than 80% of travel today is booked online, and AI creates an opportunity for highly-personalized commerce. I'd like to see hotel booking processes look more like Amazon and less like they’re straight out of 1998.
