The City of Boston is offering incentives for landlords to lease to individuals who are moving out of homelessness– Including a $4,000 lease-signing bonus, or up to 2x the rent per unit!

The fund will provide organizations with small public subsidies to buy and maintain affordable housing properties that would otherwise be bought by developers and turned into luxury condos, evicting current residents regardless of how long they have been there.

The Small Properties Acquisition Fund would provide $12 million towards the long-term preservation of  affordable housing units throughout Massachusetts–helping fight displacement, stabilize families and neighborhoods, and safeguard affordability.
