RE4 VR Mode is the most fun I had all generation and is a perfect example of how VR doesn't need "built from the ground up for VR" tech demos but taking already existing games and converting them into VR to get great VR games but then Sony decides to dump money on Marathon

The worst fucking thing is that Sony had the perfect position to hit the middle point of "Standalone is too weak" and "PCVR is too expensive" with PSVR2, then decided to overprice the headset and piss away support to focus on GaaSlop that would end up getting canceled
its crazy how hard VR fell off there just isnt anything anymore

I really don't get why they keep deciding to license multi-decade old movies for 4/20 collabs rather than just get an actor who's been in stoner films and get them to be a new operator, Dave Chappelle giving actual callouts is way funnier than reused movie clips

Toby grew up on localized games/anime from Japan and got to learn more about Japanese culture/language and work directly with Japanese devs, he understands a bad localization can bastardize the work and potentially ruin the intended experience and wants to avoid that

It's really funny seeing Latin nerds act like Toby is looking down on them and shitting on their language for simply not wanting a poor Latin localization to reflect poorly on his work and wanting a more personal translation done but doesn't have the resources to do that himself
I know that Toby would never sue someone for an unofficial translation of his game (that's Nintendo's job) but to put it in perspective this is more or less what this whole dilemma is like for the Latin community. #UTDR

It would make complete sense that Americans were consulted with, if not directly involved with the writing given this game being a Japanese product in an American setting
Out of curiosity I was checking RE1's dialogue in Japanese to see they were actually saying. This is the infamous Jill Sandwich line; I always thought that was the localizers trying to be cute, but no Barry actually says it๐ญ
