Erosion control blankets provide cover and support for new plants at our project sites 🌱 In 2020, we switched from plastic to natural fibers (like jute), preventing the use of 64K pounds of single-use plastic in 2021! This also helps protect wildlife from getting entangled 🐸

The Smooth Green snake is found in multiple Midwest states. 🐍 These bright, scaly friends are found in moist grassy areas and are a species of concern in several states. Sadly, numbers are declining due to habitat loss & the use of pesticides. #HerpHighlight 📷: Jonathan Mays

This is a pretty one :) The Madrean Mountain Kingsnake is found in wooded areas of the southeastern corner of the state. This one with a higher than usual amount of black band along its dorsum, is extra nice.
