i think the fanbase needs to understand that he's not a perfect victim he's not a bad person and his heart is in the right place but he's VERY mentally off-course and misguided
Obviously the Shonen fans are entitled and annoying, but I don't like how the other side of the CSM argument is "Well obviously the whole story is about how Denji isn't a good person" And framing the story that way just feels really gross to me. It feels cruel.
