Surprising things that move faster than Hurricane
#Sally
:
- An 80-year old human (2.1 mph)
- Average sea turtle (3-4 mph)
- Manatees (~2 mph)
- Hippopotamus (19 mph!)
Looks like the cat is out the bag 🤭

Sooo, never thought I’d be Tweeting this but… I’m doing some on-camera work for
@weatherchannel
this spring! 🥳
You can find our new severe show on TWC’s streaming app on your Smart TV after 8pm ET on weekdays! More info here: ⛈️
For those keeping count at home, within the past HOUR, Southern California has seen:
Tropical Storm
#Hilary
Conditions
Flash Flood Warnings
An Earthquake
A Tornado Warning
I was actually live on The Weather Channel covering tornado warnings in front of the camera instead of behind it 🥹
Tonight was an absolute whirlwind and I appreciate all of the love 💙
OMG I WON THE LAST SPARTAN STANDING TOURNAMENT!!!! AHHHHHHHHH
Clutched up in the final game over
@Lady_Echidna
and won the whole event by 1 point 😳 wowowow
7 years ago today, I walked into the doors of
@weatherchannel
as a meteorologist 🌩️
Through all the ups and downs, weather communication has always been the goal and I’m so happy that I get to continue that in a place I love 💙
I couldn't wait to share the news any longer! 😄 So thrilled to announce I've joined the Social Team at
@Twitter
! 💙
I get to make content about topics that I love so dearly with a team that has already been so supportive! Let's get to work 💪
A little announcement: this is my last week working
@Twitter
This was not an easy decision to make, but I had to focus on my own personal stability and growth. This was an unforgettable experience and I'm so happy I explored this direction in this chapter of my life. (1/3)
Wowowow, the response to the
@weatherchannel
Retro Local on the 8's has been so overwhelmingly positive and fills all of us with joy 🤗
So glad we could give back to those who have supported us since these LOT8's were modern 😉
Got Employee of the Month at
@weatherchannel
for April 🥹⭐️
Honestly been working my butt off the past few months and it means a lot to be recognized by my peers 💙
"oh it's ONLY a category 1"
Well this Cat 1 storm is about to eclipse the top rainfall totals from the notorious Hurricane
#Maria
, which was a Cat 4 on landfall in Puerto Rico. Flooding with
#Fiona
has been catastrophic and it's not even close to done...
Crazy temperature differences for the areas west vs. east of
#Zeta
!
In the 30's for the TX Panhandle (with snow!) and 70's with intense humidity for the southeast 😳
Repeat after me: "THERE WILL BE IMPACTS OUTSIDE OF THE CONE"
#Idalia
Tampa is still under a Storm Surge Warning due to the projected storm motion and strength!
The record high water levels from
#Ian
are taking the headlines (rightfully so), but I've been focused on the LOW levels due to the offshore flow.
St. Petersburg is 5+ feet below where the water levels normally are! 😳
Rolling Forks -> Silver City -> Winona -> Amory -> Smithville
All lives in these cities and those in-between have changed this evening, one way or another. Keep them in your thoughts...
The outpouring of support over the past 24 hours has filled me with so much joy. 🥰
TWC was only the first chapter in my life. Chapter 2 is where it really takes off. 😈
So great to see this project I’ve worked on for over a year finally go live 🥹
Truly appreciate the
@weatherchannel
for giving me opportunities to create content that I love 💙
So happy that
@weatherchannel
is giving me another opportunity for on-air severe coverage this spring!
See you on Thursdays & Fridays after Stormcenter! 👋⛈️
For those curious, this is what the radar reflectivity NORMALLY looks like in 2D.
With 3D technology, we can showcase the threats of a storm down to the minute structure so you know exactly what's coming your way.
And there it is: My last Tweet from Twitter.
Was an honor being
@TwitterGaming
for these past 18 months and can't wait to see how far it can go from here 💙
January 11, 2021: the day I joined the
@Twitter
Social Team. 💙🎮
A whole 365 days and I still love waking up every single morning and logging in to this app to see all of the friends and connections I've made. Absolutely a dream come true 🥰
We back, baby! 💙 So happy to be freelancing
@weatherchannel
for hurricane season! 🌀
(don’t worry, I’m still at Twitter, just can’t escape my love for the weather!)
Between blizzards and tornadoes, Winter Storm
#Finn
is doing a lot. 🤯
Got a question about
#Finn
? We're answering them LIVE at 4p ET today in the TWC app:
So far, 3 commercial airports have recorded official
#blizzards
from this winter storm!
The criteria is 35+ mph winds + 1/4 mi visibilities from snow (or blowing snow) for 3 hours but these cities are DOUBLING that time 🥶
We've got a LOOOONG time to watch this new tropical wave coming off of Africa ⏰
On average, it takes a system nearly 2 WEEKS to cross the Atlantic (if the conditions are right)!
This storm system is creating blizzards that are over 800 MILES from each other! 😱
A ground blizzard in Cedar Rapids, IA and a full-blown blizzard + lake-effect snow in Watertown, NY ❄️🌬️
