We agree all that's needed is parking bays for Lime Bikes, but Merton Council appears not to care.

@CyclingMerton I've just been there (9:15pm Sunday). Road has reopened but so has crossing without any temporary lights. Vegetation is overgrown on both sides restricting visibility, so crossing is now super risky. In the light of what's happened today a temp crossing is needed straight away.

🧵Going back thru email, we see the "new" Merton Local Plan has been under development for over 5 years, yet is *still* not adopted. In that time, e-bikes (dockless & private) have become a common sight. e-scooters and delivery bikes likewise. 1/

All are welcome at our monthly Wandle Trail litter pick on Sunday 28th July! Meet outside Sainsbury's and M&S on Merton High Street at 11am. We provide litter picking sticks for those who don't own one, and we provide bags, too. We'll pick for about an hour and go for a drink.

The River Wandle is home to several nature reserves from Watermeads, which was hidden behind locked gates for a century, to the Spit which opened in 2003. This post lists the 10 nature reserves along the Wandle that are worth exploring. https://t.co/zmz6JR96zM

"While you might assume the lorries go to landfill, in fact, barely any rubbish goes to the dump. Instead, 65% of it is incinerated. The pollution that comes from burning rubbish is just 1 issue the capital isn’t solving." @yourcroydon @Merton_Council @RBKingston @SuttonCouncil

The capital is the worst at recycling #frontpage While our city often pats itself on the back for green policies such as Ulez and clean air initiatives, we’re not the best area in the country for recycling. What needs to change? Read here: https://t.co/Tscv3T1MNO
