Day 78 - 19 miles - Total 1869 miles "We drove back to Quebec where I rested before running over the bridge into Hawkesbury. Here we had a very warm welcome waiting. We met Leslie Scrivener today and she is a very nice person." #terryfox #marathonofhope

HEO Drill of the Day #54 Drill starts with some nice puck control and skating agility combination, then incorporates changing the shooting angle. This drill can be scalled down into smaller areas to accommodate younger players and make space for other stations. @SPSHockeyDev

HEO Drill of the Day #52 (Off Ice) An explosive twist to a fundamental exercise, this one will help build power within the upper body! Try to push yourself as high and fast off the bench as possible and try to catch your self quickly and solidly. @CAPITAL_STS

Anyone missing on ice drills?? πββοΈ
HEO Drill of the Day #45 Drill working on attacking the offensive zone from wide entry and changing the shooting angle. Second part of drill involves loose puck retrieval, climbing the wall and running a scissor cycle with the D-man. @SPSHockeyDev

HEO Drill of the Day #44 This drill is a progression from the 3 Net Puck Control drill. Again the coach can adjust the skating patterns and skill used as well as the pass reception methods (forehand vs backhand). @SPSHockeyDev

HEO Drill of the Day #41 The placed side net limits the space the player has to drive to the net front and can be varied. Player "fakes" coming out wide but then stops hard to cut back and drive to net front using the space opened up with the fake and cut back. @SPSHockeyDev

HEO Drill of the Day #35 Good drill to work on supporting the puck in the defensive zone. Give your defense options on how to get the puck out of your zone. Letting them make skilled plays is how they will develop.

HEO Drill of the Day #31 3 shot drill working on offensive creativity. Players are allowed to chose whatever pattern they want for the firt two net drives. The more creative the better. 3rd shot is a quick in tight play with a quick release.

HEO Drill of the Day #30 (Off Ice) A great way to master the push up is to perform eccentric push-ups. Essentially, a very slow and controlled version of the push up that places a lot of emphasis on core control and upper body strength. @CAPITAL_STS

HEO Drill of the Day #29 3 Shot drill working on changing shot angles with a quick release. Good for working the puck to both sides of the body and getting the puck off quick once the shooting lane is established.

HEO Drill of the Day #27 Small Area Game working on making plays in tight areas, and learning how to defend on the right side of the puck. Also works on Goalies making saves in tight and competing for every puck.
