Tom Scott Injury Update
Scottie was kept in overnight and had an operation on his leg to repair a double break. Dr's are pleased with how the operation went and we hope to get Tom home soon.
Heartbreak for us but - much as I hate to say it - the best team on the day (based on their second half performance) won. I'm off to catch up with my friends and watch the presentation. Thanks to everyone at Walton and Hersham for their help today. Be seeing you
We've got one of those "What? Shut up, your joking" announcements
To say we are pleased is a bit of an understatement but we are happy to announce that
@luke_ruddick
has agreed to join us for the forthcoming season.
Welcome Luke can't wait to see you in the shirt
Finally! After a number of years negotiation, and a lot of hard work, especially by
@HanworthBrown
, we have signed our new lease, securing the long term future at Rectory Meadows.
Now. What shall we do first?
There has been activity around the club recently leading to a no of enquiries (complaints?) that the club is open for business
100% untrue. In fact the club is working with a fantastic group of ladies who are distributing food to the needy. THIS is the activity being carried out
Our game at Guernsey has finally been abandoned following a horrible injury to Tom Scott.
Guernsey player shown an immediate red by the referee
Leading 1 nil at the time through a Sam Merson penalty.
Gutted for young Scottie. Thoughts are with you mate
An amazing night of drama. A hard fought game which had it all - including a last second winner to snatch the victory that sees us into the play-off final.
Marlow 1 - Hanworth Villa 2
Sam Merson (32' pen)
George Wells (90')
To say that we are pleased with our first new signing for the new season is a bit of an understatement
@DuncanCulley
is a serial winner and joins us from last seasons champions Bracknell Town. Welcome Duncan I'm sure you'll enjoy your time at the Ranch.
Writing this in between glasses
Whilst I'm incredible proud of my club and our players, I have to applaud
@FCSouthall
. Good side and amazing after. Thanks for the beers boys.
Good things happen to nice people I'm told
Strong believer in that if your good enough you'll be picked up by a club suited to your level. In the meantime ignore the whispers and promises just play. Enjoy yourself and put yourself on display Alternatively sign for a big club and bring a cushion. Be a nice trackie won't it
Delighted to say that our very own Simon Haughney has won the December manager of the month award for the Isthmian South Central Division.
Find out what Simon had to say when we told him!

It's with incredible sadness that the club have to announce the passing of Bobby Dawson.
Condolences and love to Linda and the family in this heart breaking time.
The Dog was a great man who was a massive part of our club. He is going to be missed by so many people.

❤️
Delighted to say that our annual game against Hampton and Richmond - The Gary Craig memorial - which took place during pre-season raised £1,300 for British Heart Foundation. Always a splendid occasion, thanks to both clubs, staff & volunteers.
Thanks to
@GRTourist
for the pics
Yesterday's win at a very windy Stag Meadow against a determined Virginia Water means that we are ensured a top 2 finish (hooray)
Onto Tues evening, and a big game, when we host
@FCSouthall
at Rectory Meadow. 7.45 kick off. Try to get along to what will be a very tough game
Well we must be doing something right because despite a lot of offers, we are delighted to announce that
@Sammerson1
and
@Mkamara23
have both signed for the new season
Great news for us as these 2 are very influential and very important both on and off the field
Mucho delighted
Have just been sent this message. This is why we, and all the other clubs like us do what we do. Take note
@fa
"Would like to thank everyone at the Villa my boy loved everything about today and it is a great advert for grass roots football⚽️
Thank you"
Matchday. An early start for the media team as we prepare for the biggest day in our club's history (so far).
Definitely a three Weetabix morning*
*other breakfast cereals are available
Pinch me someone. We've only gone and made it to the play-offs. Come along on Wednesday and watch the team take the next step in what's already been an incredible season. Let's see if we can make it even better. Promotion? It's within touching distance. Believe.
So this is it - the day of the play-off final - the end to what's been yet another an incredible season. So this afternoon get behind the team and let's make it a day never to forget.
#COYV
Oh, and don't forget to follow us on Twitter for in-match updates!
Tomorrow evening we entertain

@WaltonCasualsFC
Good game officially watched by 0. Officials cost us £128
@fa
. A crowd of 40 at £3 ahead would have covered it. I know its a serious situation were all in but this is madness
So season over. Out the Vase on pens. Thought we deserved better but football a bitch.
Well done Simon Paul Leon and Floydie, we played great football this season. We'll be back next year stronger again. Always a Villain
Thanks to
@guildfordcity
for respecting our Club and cleaning their dressing room.
It's not hard. But it does show class. If only more teams did the same.
On Saturday we produced a woeful performance to rightly lose to
@Basingstoke_FC
(trumpet out) Prior to that our last league defeat was on 25th Feb 2020, a run of 49 unbeaten league games. Shame they couldn't make the 50 but still a great effort from the boys. 👏 (trumpet away)
This Saturday we entertain
@redhillfc
in the CCL Premier.
All being well this will be our goalkeeper
@bussy123
600th game for the Villa.
A small presentation will be made to this true Villain please come along and give him the tribute he deserves. We'll done Lord

More sad news I'm afraid. Today we lost our original centre forward Gary Allen.
The man was a proper mean no 9, with an amazing goal scoring record. Once scored 6 consecutive hat tricks.
One of the bedrock that our club was built on. Sleep easy mate. Love ya.
We'd like to wish all our volunteers fans and players a very Merry Christmas
As for the rest of you, love us or hate us, we wish you a great Christmas too
We'd also like to ask if you could keep an eye out for those not having such a great time. A friendly word can work wonders
All over
Won 2-1 against the team that has caused us more problems than any over. We'll done
@EdgwareTownFC
. Great hospitality, guard of honour greatly appreciated. Good luck guys
Pleased to welcome another new signing
The manager has been a long time admirer of Tom Scott and is delighted that he chose us from the number of options open to him
Last season Tom was the standout player in our games against
@AscotUnitedFC
. Be nice to see him in our shirt
Spent some time speaking to one of the guys behind
@ClaptonCFC
after yesterday's game
Impressive what they've achieved already and I have no doubt that they will continue to progress. A real people's club with fantastic support. Looking forward to meeting them in the future
At yesterday's game we paused to remember the fallen in advance of Remembrance Sunday.
We thank one of our Under 13 players - George Jones - for his touching performance of The Last Post.
We will remember them.
The club have issued a statement regarding this weekend's play-off final.
This is the biggest game in our history and our chance to show what great supporters we are - so if you're attending - please read.

Must thank all at
@GuernseyFC
for your support and assistance in what was a difficult situation for us. Everyone from the board to the players were great 👍
Pleased to announce that the boss has added former
@guildfordcity
manager Chris Balchin to his management management team.
Hi Chris. We'll give you a Ranch welcome just as soon as we are allowed
Happy St George's Day to everyone but especially to those attending a non league match on the last day of the season. Thanks for your support
Enjoy your day 🏴🏴🏴
We are thrilled to announce that our very own Gary Ross has won the Golden Glove award for April for the South Central league sponsored by AB1.
Congratulations Gary.
Not looked at any results yet but we'll done to all the Champions, Commiserations to all those relegated, thank you to everyone who has supported non league football anywhere.
No games now but armies of volunteers will be working hard to make sure you enjoy next seaaon
A nice tribute from a local business.
Well you'd think so wouldn't you. Some miserable bastard has complained and Richmond council have told him to remove it. Glad to say the owner to them to do one
Bye folks
Thanks for all your great support for what has been a decent "1st bit" of the season
Thanks to all the
@ComCoFL
teams we have played so far. We've found the standard of the teams we've met to be very high
See you at the other end
Just a reminder that Simon Haughney won the Vita Risk Solution Manager of the Month prize for the final month of 22-23 where we beat Southall, Northwood, Bedfont Sports, Guernsey, Chipstead & Marlow in the play-off semi to reach the final. Simon would like it known that...
The perfect storm for the Ranch today. Bees & Blues in finals.
Going to be very messy. Can't wait, really missed days like these.
We will still find time to raise a glass for our old mate Craigy though. Love him
Who wants a new signing?
Time to unveil the highly sought after Seanan McKillop who's joined us for the next campaign. Glad to have you onboard. Looking forward to seeing what you can bring to the club. Welcome!
@mckillop_seanan
Lovely day today. Thank you to everybody that visited us. Hope your of the mind to return
Non league football is the way forward. All clubs at our level offer more, appreciate it, to be honest, need it more.
Support your local club. You won't regret it
Said ta-la to our old mate
@GaryCra69225312
today.
I think he would have approved.
Big hole in the club now ta Gazza. Sleep easy mate. Catch up with you sometime in the future. ❤️❤️
At times you need a player to step up. We have one that's never let's us down. Over 300 games, 2 fantastic goals in today's final and awarded MoM by the County. Then he wins mangers and supporters PoY. We need to bow before the King. Top man
@LJKing10
Post-match catch-up with Dean Wells after his penalty heroics in our game with Harefield United
Hanworth Villa 1 v Harefield Utd 1 (Villa win 5-4 on penalties)
Reflection time
Great to have football back. Good opponents and nice people for the opening game, good crowd spending plenty in bar, good game (thought we should have won) Ranch still a mad house as I sit here.
Footballs back and it's great innit
Just a week after losing one of our greats we are shocked and saddened to hear that Dave Reader has passed away. The driving force being
@BSFC_Official
he will be sorely missed.
Condolences to Terry and all of his family
Merry Christmas from HVFC to all our followers, to our managers and players, but most importantly to all those who pitch in week in and week out to do everything necessary to make the 90 minutes happen.
Finally I'd like to thank the people of Hanworth. Nothing without you 👏👏
We wish them continued success and are looking forward to the new season with renewed confidence after their incredible achievements over the past few years. (2/2)
I'm sad to say that
@Sammerson1
has moved on to pastures new.
He wants to make it clear that he wasn't looking to move but he has been made an offer that it would be very difficult for anyone to turn down.
Good luck Sam. Thanks for your efforts. Don't be a stranger
Yeah I'm biased. I'm not saying that's there's not better club's than ours but I will need some convincing that they got better people than ours.
Love Hanworth people. Rough round the edges but proper hearts
Wot a great day at
@HanworthVillaFC
.
Some real great work achieved today.
Another decent turnout 1st team players assistant Manager & coaches club supporters Director & the boys from our committee, not forgetting Tina, who served up lunch keeping the boys going.
THANKS!🤓⚽️
1st win for our new management team of Simon and Paul (
@onsidefc
). Well deserved for all the hard work that they've put into the last couple of weeks. Can only see improvement in the future.
#UTV
The next round of the Youth FA Cup against AFC Wimbledon will be played on Monday 18th. 7.30 kick off at the Ranch.
Should be a good night get yourself along
It's with a sense of disappointment that we bid farewell to Tom Bender, our captain of last season, who has agreed a move to Billericay. His contribution to our campaign was deeply appreciated both on and off the pitch. We wish him all the luck and thank him for his time with us
