Clear evidence supporting a needs based funding model with data showing strong link between educational outcomes and social advantage. We need to ensure that where one lives doesn’t determine their ability to succeed in education.

HOME is a testament to the resilience of Syrian children, whose memories of home are forever tainted by the ravages of a brutal and ongoing war. Curated by Ben Quilty, the book features a series of heartbreaking drawings by Syrian children, of the lives they left behind.

It might LOOK like today was only about having fun but Week 2 of Wise Up taught us teamwork and communication, as @NSWSES Canterbury demonstrated a water rescue and led team-building games. Here’s hoping they remember the skills if I get caught in a rip one day...

Not a single drop spilt as our Year 9 boys in the YES program learnt the skills to prepare and paint any surface with the expertise of Monica from @tafensw. Our first target: transforming the boys bathroom from average to attractive. Stay tuned for the before and after shots.
