Stepping away from this platform (which was my first intro to social media in 2014). It brought me many connections & opportunities over the years but it has moved too far away from how it started.

Every single school needs a library & a librarian, to help every single child find the books that will make them readers, and give them all the lifelong benefits of literacy. Libraries & librarians change children's lives FOREVER! #SchoolLibrarianDay

Children's books are not a luxury. Libraries & librarians are not a luxury. The teachers who inspire kids to read are not a luxury. If you cut or undermine or lose these things – #literacy will cease to be a basic human right, and will become a luxury, available only to a few.
