Children in Gaza are so hungry they are eating animal feed to stay alive. This is what our political leaders have normalised with their silence. A ceasefire is a basic demand to stop people dying — and should be made by anyone who believes in the equal value of human life.

We are seeing less and less news from Gaza every single day. It’s not because people aren’t being killed anymore. Quite the opposite actually. It’s because so many are being killed that there are less and less people left to report and share it. Let that sink in. I have no words.

Next week in Parliament, I will be voting for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. I urge fellow MPs to wake up, think about what is happening in Gaza, and do the same.
