Anyway, I just wrote up an article of what happened when @RiversidedotFM ruined my third recording in six months. It is not a professional tool: Avoid it if you care about your video content.

None of this is rocket science.

They are also trying to gaslight me saying that my camera was set to 60fps (which it wasn’t, but even if it were - so what? Tell me in the UX that it’s not supported or just record the fucking 60fps stream!!).

So it turns out that, after they investigated, @RiversidedotFM was unable to recover the recordings. This is the email I just sent to them - and I reiterate that the software is completely not fit for purpose. If you do serious recording, avoid it like the plague.

It feels like I'm spending half my existence dealing with buggy-ass software. I know that moving fast is key, but. Come on. What happened to really basic QA?.

These two things should NEVER be different. Like, if you're recording in 480p, sure, fine, but then TELL ME.

Absolute garbage.

This was a problem for me back in Feburary as well, and at that time the team assured me that "Rest assured that our Development team is investigating this further to ensure that this does not occur in future recordings". I did rest assured, but it happened again.

I was using @RiversidedotFM to record a podcast episode this morning. The UI showed me recording in 1080p, but the recording was low res. I'm never trusting that garbage piece of software ever again, and I recommend nobody else does either.
