As 2022 comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our grantees and partner orgs who organized their communities, worked on policy, knocked on doors, and provided critical services to our neighbors and friends. It is an honor to work with and learn from all of you!

"In 2022 we saw more community resiliency to election disinformation than in 2020, thanks in large part to massive education efforts to name the problem of disinformation and explain what it looks like." - @JGo4Justice via @HaasJrFund

Year-round dedication is needed to ensure our democracy leaves no one behind — We may have avoided the worst-case scenario during the midterms, but our work is not yet done.

Today is a historic day for LGBTQ+ equality. Today @POTUS will sign the bipartisan #RespectforMarriage Act into law. Today, our families know they’re protected and respected no matter what. Today, love wins.

#MoorevHarper not only has major implications on who has power to draw and challenge congressional maps but also on how federal elections are conducted in the future and the breadth of state legislatures’ power when it comes to setting elections rules.
In Moore v. Harper, the Supreme Court will evaluate independent state legislature theory, which would give full power to partisan majority state legislatures to determine how votes for federal elections are cast and counted.
