Smith’s distinctive artwork will be projected on the sail of the sloop Clearwater with the audience seated on the deck of the Mary A. Whalen and paired with live music by Peter Stampfel and The Atomic Meta-Pagans.

Images of daily life in New York City interspersed with cameos of important avant-garde figures such as Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, and Jonas Mekas are all synced to the sounds of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht’s opera Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny.

A film 10 years in the making, Mahagonny became an obsession of Harry's, with shots meticulously ordered according to a complex numerological and symbolic system.
