5️⃣ Blaming. Does your partner blame you for how they feel or act? Saying their partner "made them" abuse exerts control by making someone feel responsible for their own abuse. #DomesticViolence

3️⃣ Shaming. Does your partner make fun of you in front of your friends or family or put down your accomplishments? "Negging" is an abuse tactic, a way to regain control over someone by putting them down. #DomesticViolence

I’m in tears. I’ll be honest, our conversation took me back to times and places in my life I’ve long shut away… like telling another person’s story. And yet, the sharing is so much a part of my healing journey; to feel seen, known, less afraid. 📸 Buddhist monastery in Thailand
