Y'know who Canes twitter is really missing the last couple weeks? Sara Civian. She was the only true beat reporter, had her finger on the pulse of both the team and the fanbase, and knew how to frame negative energy so it was kept in perspective, honest but not unforgiving.

In order for Seth Jarvis to be successful, he had to change his game. Now, the Hurricanes are reaping the benefits of a player who was willing to do whatever it took.

After a few years of "Cup or Bust" talk in Raleigh, I'm looking forward to a transition (a re-tool?) this season. Staal's team to Aho's team. It's entertaining, it's good hockey, and all part of the long-term plan. Team's not going anywhere, the future is really really bright.
