Researchers have found that homicides were at or near historic lows in 2024—and are on track to drop even more in 2025. One main factor? Increased funding to community organizations that prevent violence before it happens. @CouncilonCJ @AHDatalytics.

There are a lot of human rights abuses against kids in Maryland's justice system. Among the worst include:. (1) Solitary Confinement.(2) Housing Kids in Adult Jails. @iamwesmoore should issue an Executive Order, as we've asked for, to end these practices.
