Kone signing is certainly a statement of intent. Really hope it works out. We haven’t had a decent striker since Charlie Austin and it’s a necessity to have any chance of success in this division. Let’s hope a LB and CM follow soon - both areas where we are weak. #QPR.

RT @LoftforWords: I wouldn’t fault a single one of those lads for their effort there. Did themselves proud. I would gently wonder why our….

Mixed feelings about today. Pros:.Very good first half. Mbengue looked decent, as did Chair. Thought Burrell looked lively. Cons:.Second half was disappointing. Walsh looked wayyy off required standard. Celar useless. PNE were awful but still took a point away. #QPR.

Three days before the start of the season and our main striker is Zan Celar and our best left-back is Ziyad Larkeche. #QPR

Brentford obviously have better players but not impressed by us. Seems to be no pattern to our play. Directionless. Urgently need a CF, CM and LB. For all Nourry’s jargon about “synergies” and “game models”, feels like we’re heading into a season underprepared (as usual). #QPR.

Saw highlights of Cardiff match. It’s a friendly, of course, but the sheer ineptitude of the defending was pretty alarming. Not going into the season feeling particularly optimistic based on what I’ve seen so far #QPR.

Sorry to say but this is turning into one of the worst #Wimbledon final performances of all time.

Important not to read too much into pre-season results but the manner of that defeat is concerning. Reminds me a bit of the Oxford game under Ainsworth. Oh and please ditch that vile kit. #QPR.

Didn’t see the game. How did we play? New signings look any good? Also, Richards on the scoresheet?! #QPR.

How boring are the endless voting scenes you have to sit through in #SquidGame? I mean, we know which side is going to win, otherwise there wouldn’t be a programme.

RT @JackM_QPR: A sad way for it to end. The job he did keeping us up that first year was nothing short of remarkable. He got the club, the….

Fantastic news. Not just a rock in defence, but a danger going forward and the life and soul of the team. #QPR.

Great news. A key player for us, as shown by our frequent collapses when he isn’t playing. #QPR.

I worry a little that this is someone whose career has peaked already and is now in decline. 17-match winless run also concerns me. That said, I prefer him to Thorup and winning the French equivalent of the FA Cup is no small achievement. #QPR.
