They tell you Maduro, Diaz-Canel, Xi, and Traore are evil dictators. But none of them inflicted collective punishment and starvation on entire nations as the US does daily
🇨🇺 BREAKING | Cuba has warned international airlines that it will run out of jet fuel within 24 hours, citing intensified U.S. energy pressure, according to an official aviation notice seen by EFE. The shortage affects all of Cuba’s international airports from Feb. 10 to March

The U.S. is using the Caribbean as its imperialist staging ground as we speak: military occupation in Haiti, genocidal blockade in Cuba, kidnapping presidents, stationing warships, propping fascists in DR, assassinating fishermen, occupying PR, etc... But Bad Bunny performed

Cuba was 1 of 11 countries to successfully develop a Covid-19 vaccine, and now because of the U.S. they may have the first famine in a literate urbanized peacetime society in history.
Complete US energy blockade on Cuba continues. Very soon, planes will stop landing, medicines will disappear from pharmacies, babies will have no formula…

While humanitarian aid going to Cuba is good + everyone should send aid — we must also exert pressures to ensure oil (for energy + fuel) and solar powered devices are getting into Cuba. Prior to current US militarism, China and Cuban were working on updating Cuba’s energy sector

I'm the editor of the site & I get almost daily messages from Cubans & people with family in Cuba who have heard Mexico is sending oil, I have to tell them no. I wish Mexican outlets & others, well meaning as they may be, would stop attempting to conflate humanitarian aid & oil.
That being said, people keep sharing humanitarian aid sent to Cuba by Mexico — falsely asserting that it has included oil which it does not.

México le manda arroz y habichuelas a Cuba. Estados Unidos le bloquea el petróleo. El imperio crea la hambruna y después autoriza el comedor. Cuba necesita combustible. Le envían leche en polvo. Veinte repúblicas latinoamericanas. Seiscientos millones de personas. Ni un barril
🇲🇽 🇨🇺 Mexico has dispatched two Navy logistics ships from Veracruz to Cuba carrying more than 814 tons of humanitarian aid for civilians, under orders from President Claudia Sheinbaum. The shipment includes staple foods and hygiene supplies, with the Papaloapan transporting mixed

Imperialism has the domestic colonies under a blockade too
I have kin here who have never had running potable water in their homes. In this region, there are constant boil water advisories because faucet water isn’t safe to drink. I think a lot of people have unrealistic notions about life here for Black and Indigenous people.

Re Cuba: Jamaica is not refusing to help out of hostility, it is due to systemic vulnerability. Small states like ours are embedded in the US financial architecture & cannot casually defy pressures of sanctions. We must calculate, not posture. So be gentle with our 🇯🇲 thanks

Cuba developed a successful lung cancer vaccine (and cured mother-to-infant HIV & syphilis transmission) over a decade ago. You can't access this medicine in the US, because the imperialists say so.

I hate how much Haiti and Cuba get punished for standing up for themselves. I hate even more that our leaders are bending the knee to daddy Trump and perpetuating this injustice

🇨🇺 The US is trying to starve 10 million Cubans. We are bringing 2,500lbs of lentils to Cuba to break this criminal and genocidal blockade. LIFT THE BLOCKADE ON CUBA NOW

Also, the so-called "aid" translates to about 60 cents per Cuban. It's a slap in the face against a backdrop of genocide.
I hate how Reuters sanitizes a policy of genocide on the Cuban people. “U.S. officials increased humanitarian aid”..as if that so-called “aid” cancels out blockading the entire island 😒

Look how imperialist media uses biased language to frame this story. Cuba defending its sovereignty and struggling = "dug in its heels" U.S. breaking international law to force mass starvation and fuel shortage for regime change = "U.S. effort to cut off oil supply"
Cuba detailed a wide-ranging plan to protect essential services and ration fuel as the government dug in its heels in defiance of a US effort to cut off oil supply to the Caribbean island https://t.co/7HdMohD2Gi

"How are our elected officials aware of what Epstein did and doing anything about it!" The same way you're aware of what the imperialists do in Cuba — in Haiti, in Atlanta, in Palestine, in New York, in Burkina Faso, in Puerto Rico, in your city — and you do nothing about it.

"the Cuban struggle and the Palestinian struggle are both fights against being forced into an open-air prison; the only difference lies in the particular methods of imperialist violence. In both cases, imperialism itself functions as the prison warden, encaging a population."
