Modern rightists have no theory of mind for the founding fathers. The concept of "enlightenment intellectual" is totally alien to them. Leftists can understand ideology, but they see classical liberalism as a great satan, and sometimes miscast the founders as cryptomarxists.
Saying America was founded on ‘Protestant Spirit’ is like saying Rome was founded on Jupiter worship . The Founders did not envision America as some multi-ethnic Protestant utopia. They founded a nation-state built by and for their specific heritage and civilization.

Watch older films, especially those from the 40s-60s. Old people remembered the Bad Old Days; there was a gap in perception between the bright eyed youngsters and the reserved old folks. Now things are weird because our old people remember the Good Old Days.
out of over 750,000 soIdiers that fought for the confederacy in the american civil war, these were the last surviving veterans (taken in 1951).

Complex petrochemicals can be produced under abiotic conditions. Saturn's moon Titan is covered in petrochemicals. However, the percent of Earth's oil which formed abiotically in the mantle is likely low compared to the fraction formed from deep sea sludge.
FREEMAN DYSON [ex Prof. Emeritus Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton] on THOMAS GOLD's [ex Prof. of Astronomy Cornell] theory that oil & gas come from the mantle of the Earth & are NOT fossils. Chemists at the Carnegie Institute proved this correct.

Congress must a appropriate 37 trillion more dollars to NASA so we can make kino like this.
@MAstronomers And here’s the surface of a comet. Captured by ESA’s Philae lander on Comet 67P, this loop condenses 25 minutes of motion into a few seconds. No, that’s not snow—it’s backlit dust, cosmic rays, and a rotating starfield frozen in time. This is what it looks like to stand on a

The 13 colonies each had their own elites, who pushed for bans of this type in early negotiations on federation. But the Continental Congress was under the stewardship of a few trans-continental elites, who were unusually enlightened and organized.
It's actually very weird and interesting that they *didn't* do either of these two things. I mean why didn't they ban "popery?" . Why didn't they limit citizenship to existing residents plus "those of the English race" going forwards?. Interesting questions.

Pope Francis visited Mosul in 2021. Here he is seated at the very site where ISIS promised to destroy Rome.
Have you noticed the pattern in which one Pope after the next will focus on the Jewish state & slandering it, while completely ignoring the actual genocide of Christians in the Middle East including right this minute in Syria?.
