My friend Joey Magic is one of the people immortalised in the stained glass window in Grogan’s. The history of these artworks is my favourite chapter in The Dublin Pub. Anyway tonight, while celebrating the Irish Book Awards shortlisting, he finally stood beside it for a photo!

Thanks so much to Grogans, projecting this beautiful image of Paddy O'Brien from the book onto their wall. I loved Tommy Smith so much and I still miss him. It meant more than words can express to see it up there.
